23 June 2017 - Petition against ICSC decision to cut pay - PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION NOW!

FICSA would like to express its appreciation for the many messages of support received in connection with the work stoppage which took place here in Geneva on 16 June 2017 from 3 to 5 p.m.  This collective staff action was a huge success, demonstrating that staff will not accept the ICSC's decision to cut pay by 7.7% (via a reduction in the post adjustment) for staff in the Professional and higher categories in Geneva.  The work stoppage caught the attention of the news media worldwide which reported thereon.

The Federation is deeply concerned that the next group of staff who will be affected by the negative decisions of the ICSC are those based in other European duty stations.

In fact, ACPAQ will be meeting on 29 and 30 June 2017 to discuss the results of the ICSC conducted cost-of-living survey exercise recently conducted in Brussels and will, at the same time, compare the ECP data thereto in order to account for systemic differences resulting from the ICSC's transition from using data collected by itself to the new data provided by the ECP.  The results of comparing the two different sets of data will be used to establish a transition factor to adjust the surveys already conducted in London, Madrid, Paris, Rome and Vienna.

In this respect, it is crucially important that all staff, irrespective of where they are located in the world, sign the petition against the ICSC actions in order to protect their pay.  The petition is available at:
