We are pleased to inform you that FICSA has organized an English-speaking Workshop “What Are My Rights?” covering the law and procedure for appeals of adverse administrative decisions in organizations in the common system subject to the jurisdiction of the ILO Administrative Tribunal (ILOAT Track Appeals) which will take place at the CTBTO in Vienna on Saturday, 2 February 2018.

The workshop will be presented by Attorney Laurence Fauth, FICSA Legal Advisor.

The workshop is open ONLY to FICSA staff representatives and participants and will run from 9h30 to 17h00, with an hour for lunch.

Workshop programme

The workshop is aimed at enhancing staff representatives’ knowledge, expertise and confidence in effectively advising staff members who are considering appealing administrative decisions; the workshop focuses on the institutional framework, law and procedures applied both during the internal appeal process within international organizations of the UN common system and by the ILO Administrative Tribunal. Participants will develop skills to identify and assess the chances of successfully pursuing an appeal, including identifying the law applicable to the challenged administrative decision and available remedies, following applicable procedures and drafting appeal statements.
