The next FICSA workshop on the revised GS salary survey methodology I (headquarter and similar duty stations) will be hosted by the IAEA in Vienna from 15 to 17 June 2015 with the kind support of the Staff Association. It will be conducted by a FICSA Resource Person in English only.
Workshop programme
The aim of the workshop is to enhance the knowledge of salary survey techniques to the maximum extent possible by providing participants with a detailed overview of the revised methodology for headquarters and similar duty stations, covering survey participants roles and responsibilities as well as due proceedings. Within the framework of the methodology, the following phases will be analyzed: preparatory work, data collection, data analysis, construction and approval of the new salary scale. Interim adjustment procedures will be reviewed as well.
Fees
Please note that these workshops are offered free-of-charge to staff representatives from FICSA dues-paying members (see list below1).
A fee of CHF 550 is charged for other participants, including staff representatives from non-FICSA member organizations.
A reduced fee of CHF 450 per person is charged in the case where two or more participants are enrolled from the same organization and duty station.
For FICSA members with consultative status (from organizations not listed in the footnote), a 30% discount is applied on the total amount.
Payment can be made in any currency at the equivalent rate and applying the UN Rate of Exchange (RoE) in effect on the date of the payment.
Accommodation and general information
Additional information, including on hotel accommodation, will be sent directly to the participants upon confirmation of their participation.

Nominations should be signed by the President of the local staff association/union and sent to the FICSA Secretariat by no later than 29 May 2015. Seats will be confirmed on a first-come first-served basis, irrespective of the duty station of assignment. The number of participants is limited, so it is advisable to register well in advance of the deadline.
